Travel is important, most especially to those being sustained by dialysis.

Dialysis Travel Society Launched

Bill Peckham has launched the Dialysis Travel Society as a Washington State 501(c)3 not for profit corporation. DTS’s Mission is to help individuals who use dialysis, identify and overcome barriers to travel. DTS’s vision is that dialysis should be used to live a full life, and a full life includes travel. DTS believes travel is important, most especially to those being sustained by dialysis.

DTS is a community of travelers, some with kidney function, some without who intend to improve the travel opportunities of people who use dialysis. As an initial step DTS will focus on the needs of people who use incenter hemodialysis, in the United States, who would like to travel within the US. The first DTS program is the Medicare Copay Gift Voucher Program. Future programs ideas include: International Dialyzor Exchange Program and Adult Dialyzor Summer Camp.
